Baking with a Convection Oven

Bake your favorite dishes in a convection oven. Since it has a fan to circulate hot air, this countertop appliance cooks more evenly than a traditional oven. As a result, baked goods cook faster, meats brown easier and heating up leftovers is quicker. Smaller models are ideal for making pizzas, cookies and wings. If you want to roast a chicken—or even a small turkey—look for larger models. As you take your meal out of the oven, protect your hands from hot baking sheets with an oven mitt, and use a trivet to hold a small casserole dish. Then, plate dinner on serveware.
